Are you interested in how events of the past influence today’s international order? This specialisation will help you understand why the world is the way it is. You will combine historical knowledge with contemporary topics – politics, economics, and international relations. You will learn how power works, what changes the global balance of power, and why geopolitics is more than just news on TV. This is a great choice if you want to understand and have something to say about the world we live in! - Ukrainian History and Culture
Want a better grasp of our neighbours to the East? This specialisation is for those interested in Ukraine – its rich history and fascinating culture. This specialisation explores the history of Ukraine so you may understand current phenomena and processes, as well as Ukraine’s place within international relations. This course is open to applicants from Poland and Ukraine, as well as anyone else who may be interested! - Digital Humanities
Perhaps you enjoy history but are also drawn to new technologies? Here, you can combine both! You’ll learn how to work with multimedia, digitise collections, create digital content, and collaborate on educational projects, historical games, and museum exhibitions. This is a great option if you want to gain practical skills that are in demand on today’s job market – in culture, education, IT, and beyond. - Scandinavian-Baltic Studies
If you’re fascinated by the history and culture of the Baltic countries – from Norway to Lithuania – this is for you! History isn’t just dates and events – it’s a tool you can use while working in the media, cultural institutions, and public administration. This specialisation will teach you the mechanisms of collective memory, how to create press releases, and how to analyse history in film, television, and pop culture. You will acquire practical skills by attending history and media workshops. This specialisation is for those who wish to combine historical knowledge with action in the here and now. - Teaching history
If you want to share your passion for history and inspire younger generations, this specialisation prepares you for primary school teaching. You will learn about teaching and psychology, how to conduct history and social studies classes, and run educational projects. This course covers topics such as history teaching, voice projection, cultural texts in teaching, as well as educational and subject-specific practices. This program is for those who want to teach with passion, responsibility, with a modern approach to education. Remember, you will be a fully qualified teacher after completing the MA degree program, which continues this specialisation. - Europe’s Cultural Heritage
Europe is a continent with an incredibly rich history and diverse traditions. This specialisation explores cultural heritage from antiquity to the present day – from Rome, through the Middle Ages, to contemporary culinary and religious traditions. You will discover the heritage of Romance and German-speaking countries, Eastern Europe, and the Baltic Sea region. You will understand how European political and religious traditions were shaped, as well as how to protect and promote heritage. This course is for those who wish to explore Europe through the lens of its history, values, and symbols.

- Modern language teaching – not only English or German, but also the languages of historical sources as well as specialised language courses.
- Mobility and international cooperation programs – ERASMUS scholarships, the opportunity to study elsewhere in Poland (MOST program), and guest lectures by distinguished historians from Europe.
- Modern infrastructure – classes are held in the Collegium Humanisticum – one of the most modern teaching buildings in the country.
